Lautu Vowel

Vowel sounds as has been revised in 1970 by Lautu literature Committee:

1. a = Bapangaa ca sahraa aa ta (Five pairs is ten).
2. aa = Ngaa ning i vaa ( I am catching fish with net).
3. ie = Viechuo ning i ce (I eat bread).
4. iy = Cavaw i ciy sa ( I fear bears).
5. yi = Aahryi ta ning thing i syi (I shape with an axe).
6. ya = Na nung re vaa bya (Help your mother in her work).
7. y = Syry(Sieve).
8. uo = Acuo ciemuo ( It is true).
9. ue = Cuepuvnung (Cow).
10. uv = Caauv (Book).
